Curling is a sport rooted in tradition and community. Above all else, the sport of curling values etiquette and respect among its competitors. Curling clubs scattered throughout the province often represent the social hub of the community. It is therefore perhaps no surprise that curling is recognized as Saskatchewan's official sport. 

As a grassroots sport, nearly all of Saskatchewan's competitors are considered amateur athletes. They are comprised of students, professionals and parents, who balance their love of the game with other professional and personal priorities. 

The Sask Curling Tour provides a forum for these amateur athletes to hone their skills and prepare to compete among the best in Canada and across the globe. Athletes competing in the Sask Curling Tour dream of "wearing the green jacket" and representing the province at national competitions such as the Scotties Tournament of Hearts or Tim Hortons Brier and the Olympic Trials.
